What is the best seed corn for high yields?

The best seed corn for high yields depends on your specific soil conditions, climate, and management practices. At BH Genetics, we help match growers with hybrids that are proven to perform in their region through real-world trial data.

What is the best sorghum variety for my region?

Choosing the right sorghum variety depends on factors like rainfall, soil type, and intended use. Our team can recommend products that have been tested and perform well in conditions similar to yours.

When should I plant sorghum or corn?

Planting timing varies by region, but generally corn and sorghum should be planted when soil temperatures and moisture levels are optimal. We’re happy to help you determine the best timing based on your location.

What’s the difference between forage sorghum and sorghum sudangrass?

Forage sorghum is typically used for silage and high biomass production, while sorghum sudangrass is often used for grazing, haying, or cover cropping. Each serves a different purpose depending on your operation’s goals.

Is sorghum a good crop for drought conditions?

Yes, sorghum is known for its drought tolerance and ability to perform well in water-limited environments, making it a strong option for growers managing variable conditions.

How do I choose the right seed for my soil type?

Selecting the right seed starts with understanding your soil composition, drainage, and fertility. Our team works with you to recommend hybrids that align with your field conditions and yield goals.

How much seed do I need per acre?
