James Grichar serves as an Agronomic Advisor for BH Genetics, bringing decades of experience in production agriculture. Raised in Bremond, Texas, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Botany from Texas A&M University in 1972, followed by a Master’s degree in Plant Protection in 1975.
James dedicated 37 years to Texas AgriLife Research, where he conducted extensive research across multiple areas of production agriculture, working with crops such as peanuts, soybeans, corn, grain sorghum, and sesame. After retiring in January 2012, he joined the BH Genetics team in March of that same year.
Outside of his professional work, James enjoys spending time outdoors, particularly turkey and deer hunting. He and his wife, Dimple, reside in Yoakum and have an adult son and daughter.
