As Controller at BH Genetics, Laurie oversees the accounting and financial operations of BH Genetics. She is responsible for recording and reporting all financial transactions, including the accounts receivable of all seed sales, inventory of all seed available for sale, and expenses associated with the production and distribution of seed.
Prior to joining BH Genetics, Laurie, a Certified Public Accountant, gained over 13 years of experience with several accounting firms including Arthur Andersen, L.L.P. in Houston, Texas; Deloitte and Touche, L.L.P. in Houston, Texas; Bumgardner, Morrison & Company, L.L.P in Victoria, Texas; and served as Chief Financial Officer of Calhoun County Appraisal District in Port Lavaca, Texas.
She received her Master in Professional Accounting and Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin. Laurie and her husband, Ronald, and her son, Jake, currently reside in Victoria, Texas.
